Why wouldn’t I want to share my work with and be a part of a program that describes itself as ‘A Design Laboratory For Modeling Change‘?
Over the past couple of months I have had the great the pleasure of getting to know the students, faculty and the collective work of the Industrial Design Program at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. They are a fantastic program and great group of people, asking some really hard and relevant questions…….working diligently to develop smart (and on occasion, fun) solutions to some of society’s most pressing challenges. They are also in the midst of an incredibly exciting time, taking the lead in fundamentally rethinking design education by merging all of their design departments (industrial, graphic, interaction, etc.) into one singular program. I can’t wait to collaborate with them in some fashion or another this fall when Public Workshop sets up a base camp in Philadelphia.
